Being a very good dancer, Short started his acting career by casting in dance movies like Stomp the Yard, Save the Last Dance 2 and You Got Served. He later moved into mainstream acting and he was featured in Accepted, ER, Cadillac Records, That’s So Raven, Scandal, This Christmas, The Girl is in Trouble, The Losers, Mr Right and other American films and TV series. His role in Cadillac Records earned him numerous awards with him winning two awards.
